The Royal Conservatory Thank A Teacher Award, this year sponsored proudly by the SOCAN Foundation, pays tribute to the great Canadian music teachers who foster a love of music, recognize the importance of creativity, and instill the qualities of persistence and goal achievement across the nation.

Thank you to all who submitted their inspiring music teacher for consideration in this award. We received nearly 1,200 nominations, and our inaugural winner, Bernice (Bunny) Pearce has been chosen by a panel of judges from around the country.
